A most unusual handmade item, this table topper, alter/ofrenda tablecloth is in very good condition. The shape is octagonal (8 sides), measures approximately 48" x 48" and is machine sewn. It is composed in a patchwork style with several coordinating cotton materials of various designs, including Christmas poinsettias and red berries. The main fabric depicts scenes from the Christmas nativity with skeletal characters that are reminiscent of traditional Dia de los Muertos figures. The stitching of this patchwork style table/alter cover is relatively straight and looks good from the front. The stitching of the binding on the back of the cloth is not perfect. A little more attention could have been paid to the folding of and stitching of the binding. (see photos) This does not effect the use of, or look of, the front of the tablecloth, just indicates it was not produced by a professional seamstress. Still, very nice appearance from the front. Age of item is unknown. Shipping via USPS Priority Mail.
